Residents participate in diverse physical exercises

Weiting Sub-district recently saw several events designed to help residents improve physical health and enrich their cultural and recreational life.

Qingcheng Garden Community hosted a table tennis competition on Dec 23, when a number of table tennis enthusiasts, most in their 40s or 30s, competed in the games in a fierce but exciting atmosphere. Their superb skills won them intermittent applause.

In Zhangjing Community, Zhao Yanping, a Grade-1 social sports instructor, teaches the local residents fitness exercises every morning and evening, trying to help them prevent common diseases like hypertension and hyperglycemia. Currently, about 30 residents attend her class every day.

Dongting Kindergarten held a mini sports meet on Dec 21. Its faculty members competed in the games like long-distance and short-distance races as well as rope skipping, demonstrating excellent physical agility and perseverance.
