SIP Week kicks off in Singapore
SIP Week, part of Jiangsu (China) Culture and Tourism Year 2019, kicked off in Singapore on May 26. As the first event of its kind jointly sponsored by China Culture Center (Singapore) and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, it is expected to increase Singaporeans’ understanding of SIP which, the first cooperative project of its kind between the Chinese and Singaporean governments, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Newspaper clipping exhibition to mark SIP’s 25th anniversary
SIP’s 25th Anniversary Newspaper Clipping Exhibition took place at China Culture Center (Singapore) from May 26 to 31. On display were over 150 newspaper clippings that, in six categories, depict SIP’s development trajectory from 1994 to 2019 from different perspectives, covering its inception, local administration, industrial layout, social governance and public services.

Zhou Sanbo and Huang Feiyan, two young artists from Suzhou Pingtan Troupe gave wonderful pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing in Suzhou dialect) performances at China Culture Center (Singapore), drawing warm applause from the audiences.
