The commendation conference of the 7th Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational Skills Contest was held at Suzhou Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation District on August 26, at which 10 first prize winners, 40 second prize winners, 119 third prize winners, and 168 winners of excellence award who stood out from the finals shared about 3 million yuan prize money. Since the first session in 2010, the contest has become a channel for the blue-collar workers to get promotion to the gold-collar workers by their superb skills.

It's reported that 1,833 employees from over 400 enterprises completed valid registration since April 28, and 841 applicants from 249 enterprises went through preliminary contests on June 5 to the final on June 18. Statistics show that an accumulative total of 1,649 persons won the top three prizes and the excellence awards in the first 6 sessions, and more than 21 million yuan were granted as bonus and working expenditure.
