On the morning of March 12, the national tree-planting day, Wang Xiang, Standing Committee Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee, along with other 500-plus officials of SIP Working Committee, SIP Administrative Committee, offices and functional areas, planted more than 700 trees such as camphor trees, prunus lannesiana and osmanthus trees on Yangchenghu Peninsula, which formed a 25,000-square-meter green area.

The aim of this activity was to further promote SIP's eco-environment and assist in speeding up the construction of the national pilot park on eco-environment. Statistics show that in SIP the ratio of green areas is 38%, the green coverage ratio is 45%, and the public green areas cover over 30 million square meters.
