CPC Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee held an enlarged meeting on January 14 to review the work in 2015 and assign main tasks for 2016.

In 2015, SIP's development quality and efficiency maintained steady optimization and improvement, which was manifested in 207 billion yuan GDP (a YOY growth of 8%), general public budgeted revenue of 25.72 billion yuan (11.7% up), total export & import volume of about 80 billion USD, the paid-up foreign investment of 1.6 billion USD, the fixed assets investment of 61.2 billion yuan, 3.35% of GDP to R&D spending, total retail sales of consumer goods of 34.3 billion yuan (10.5% up), and per capita disposable personal income of urban residents of 56,000-odd yuan (7.5% up).

For the year of 2016, SIP will comprehensively implement the guiding principles of the 18th National Party Congress and the third, fourth and fifth plenary sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee, steadily establish and implement the development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing, actively adapt to and guide the new normal in the economic development, adhere to the general principle of "seeking progress while keeping performance stable", better pilot comprehensive experiment on opening-up and innovation, give full play to the advantages in Sino-Singaporean cooperation, deepen reform and innovation, try hard to enhance quality and efficiency, improve the people's well-being, strictly administer the Party organizations, go all out to push forward the sustainable and healthy economic and social development, try to make a good beginning of the 13th "Five-year Plan", and move forward towards the goal of being "an internationalized district featuring advanced, modern and hi-tech industries".
