Demonstration Platform of Outbound Investment Services Set Up in SIP

2015 China (Suzhou) Outbound Investment and Services Forum was held on December 15 in Suzhou Industrial Park, attended by experts and corporate representatives for in-depth discussions about how to find better ways for Chinese enterprises to "go overseas" and about the challenges involved in the services for "going out".

The forum was jointly sponsored by China Chamber of International Commerce, China Overseas Development Association, and International Enterprise Singapore, and undertaken by SIP Administrative Committee with the aim to assist more outbound Chinese enterprises in "going overseas" and various types of service providers in overseas investment.

At the opening ceremony, 8 cooperation agreements were signed, and the "National Demonstration Platform of Outbound Investment and Services" of SIP unveiled. The platform will give full play to the exemplary role of SIP in development and construction through international cooperation, take as its core tasks to facilitate and guide overseas investment by Chinese enterprises, and provide a one-stop comprehensive service window for outbound investors by integrating domestic and overseas resources. Given the four major functions of public service, talent training, investment and financing service, and internationalized services, the platform will focus on the overseas investment in industries and capital market, overseas acquisitions, overseas risk investment, etc. It is planned that through three to five years' growth, SIP is to be built into a region of "relative concentration of enterprises, and government control, and services" so as to give integrated and professional services for outbound enterprises, to explore ways in finance, training, agency, risk prevention, and to provide experience in facilitating investment for dissemination.
