Recently, Suzhou Industrial Park government launched the campaign of "visit to 1,000 industrial enterprises", with the aim of further promoting SIP's pro-business concept and assisting enterprises to achieve greater development. On the morning of August 21, an official group, led by Wang Xiang, Standing Committee Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, visited Harman Becker Automotive Electronic System (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Shengyi Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Hitachi Automotive Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Mondelez Suzhou, and Nexteer Automotive (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., to learn about their development status, solicit their suggestions and comments on governmental services, and assist them to solve their current difficulties.

The group's first stop was Harman Becker Automotive Electronic System (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. With eight SMT production lines and nearly 1,000 employees, including more than 300 R&D personnel, the company is dedicated to designing, R&D and production of digital sound equipment, control center system, multimedia system and related components and parts for some world-famous high-end automobile manufacturers, including Mercedes-benz, BMW, Audi, Toyota and FAW-Volkswagen. In view of the company's difficulties in R&D, etc, Wang Xiang asked the departments concerned to learn further about their difficulties and provide relevant support and services.

At Shengyi Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a company that mainly researches and produces copper-clad plates, bonding sheets, printed substrates, ceramic electronic components, liquid crystal products, electronic-grade glass cloths, ethoxyline resin, and copper foils for use in production of communication equipment, computers and other high-end electronic products, Wang Xiang listened to the report of the company's leaders on R&D, production and marketing, cordially enquired into the company's problems in the current operation, told the company leaders to timely report to the government when encountering difficulties, and pledged joint efforts for solving their difficulties.

Founded in 2002, Hitachi Automotive Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., now has 491 employees for the R&D, designing, production and sale of automotive electronic control equipment and related products, as well as offering relevant maintenance, after-sales services and technical support. The company's major clients include Dongfeng Nissan, Zhengzhou Nissan, Shanghai General Motor, Dongfeng Honda, Ford, BAIC Motors. During his visit, Wang Xiang got to know the company's difficulties in the current operation, and took down all the suggestions and comments given by the company leaders on SIP's pro-business services.

Mondelez Suzhou is a wholly-owned food enterprise of Mondelez China. Mondelez China boasts 12 brands, including Oreo, Eclairs, Prince, Chips Ahoy, Tiki, Pacific, Tang, and Maxwell coffee. At present, Mondelez Suzhou has nine production lines in its Huxi plant, three production lines in its Hudong plant, as well as China & Aisa Pacific biscuit R&D center. At the company, after listening to the report of the company's leaders, and acquainting himself with the company's raw material supply chain and its current difficulties, Wang Xiang said that the transnational enterprise should "when is Rome, do as the Romans do," and emphasized that daily production, operation and management and production safety should be enhanced.

Nexteer Automotive (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. focuses on designing, R&D and production of automobile steering system and its components and parts, with electric power steering system as the main product. The company's major clients are GM, Ford, Peugeot, Citroen, etc. At present, the Suzhou plant is engaged in production of steering columns, steering pumps, steering oilers, intermediate shafts, hydraulic power steering machines, electric power steering machines, etc. At the company, Wang Xiang listened to the company's report, asked the company leaders if they were facing difficulties. When he heard that the company was developing well and having no problem for the time being, Wang Xiang said, with a smile on the face, that he wished the company greater development in SIP.

According to the plan of the campaign, during more than one month, the leaders of CPC SIP Working Committee and SIP Administrative Committee, and chiefs of the departments concerned and sub-districts will visit 790 SIP-based industrial enterprises to heed their opinions and help them solve problems, for the ultimate purpose of improving the enterprises' core competitiveness, and maintaining steady, healthy and sustained development of SIP's economy.
