On the evening of July 31, the first quarter-final of Suzhou Industrial Park instrumental music & singing contest entitled "Rhythm of SIP" was held in Central Park.

As a major event of the 3rd SIP Culture and Sports Festival, the contest has been warmly received by the residents since its inauguration in late April. The quarter-final of the singing contest had been held on the evening of July 30.

The contest aims to select outstanding artistic talents and works as well as to promote artistic culture. The contest includes events of violin, piano as well as traditional Chinese musical instruments such as pipa, zheng, and bamboo flute.

The final competition will be held soon after the quarter-finals, which is expected to be as wonderful as a gala concert with various genres.
