On April 15, Samsung Electronics (Suzhou) Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (SESS) held a celebration ceremony for its newly completed new-type production line (I-line), to be used to make memory chips by full automation and super-precision, and Shi Taifeng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, attended the ceremony and was shown to the production line and remote monitoring system.

In response to SIP's call to build smart SIP, SESS has made successful efforts to achieve coordinated operation by building the world's most advanced production line with integrated smart automation and super-precision for the finishing process of semiconductor production. The newly completed I-Line will mainly produce DRAM, SSD, and other top-ranking memory chips of the world.

As one of the earliest enterprises to enter SIP, SESS has developed into a vital plant overseas for Samsung Electronics with predominant position in SIP's semiconductor industry. In the daily-increasing competition alongside speedy economic development in the world, SESS has effectively integrated its resources and aligned the two plants on both sides of Jinji Lake into an integral production unit.

The plant is located near Dongsha Lake Eco-park, and the operation of its fully automatic and super-precision production line is consistent with the company's green operation concept. The next goal of SESS is to realize production R&D, raw material procurement, production, and sales all within China.
