SIP trying to help schools in less-developed area adopt smart teaching tools

An education assistance team from SIP attended a meeting on Nov 1 at Mengxi Primary School, Songtao Miao autonomous county in Southwest China's Guizhou province. They discussed with the representatives from local education department and schools about a pilot project to be launched in the less-developed area for application of a smart school management system.

In the event, He Yi, director of Modern Education Center at Songtao Education Bureau, gave the participants a detailed account of their efforts in facilitating use of smart technologies in education as well as their goals under the pilot project.

Tao Caihong, a member of the SIP team, introduced to the local participants a series of practices in SIP schools in applying the system and its good effect in improving teaching quality. Gao Chao, a teacher from SIP, demonstrated the operations of the system, and exchanged opinions with local teachers and technical experts. Then the participants brainstormed feasible plans for the project.

It is learnt that the project will start at two of the local schools before being rolled out across the area.
