Overseas students help solve traffic jam

A picture of three foreigners directing the traffic at a congested intersection in SIP is going viral on the Internet, along with the story about how they promptly and effectively helped disperse the traffic flow when the traffic lights suddenly broke down. It was soon unveiled that the men in the picture are Adeogun Lanre and his schoolmates, three Nigerians who are studying at School of Overseas Education at Soochow University.

The traffic light failure happened at the intersection of Xiandai Avenue and Linglong Street during the evening rush hour on Sept 2, soon resulting in a gridlock. Then, Adeogun, who was passing by, got off his electric bicycle and began to guide the cars in a mess. The traffic flow became smoother with his assistance, and more after the other two students joined him. The local policemen took over the task about 10 minutes later. At the end, the policemen expressed their appreciation to the students and presented their whistles to them.
