SIPYCC orchestra gets two foreign conductors

More than 40 members of the Flower Season Youngsters' Orchestra at SIP Youth & Children Center (SIPYCC) attended their first class of the spring semester on Mar 10, when they first met the two foreign teachers, Juan Manuel Garcia-Cano and Maryia Grudo.

Each of the teachers, who have been appointed conductors of the eight-year-old orchestra that have given many performances home and abroad, has a very impressive resume.

Juan Manuel Garcia-Cano, who topped off his study at the Madrid Royal Conservatory with honors and has held concerts all over the world, is currently a professor of oboe at School of Music, Soochow University.

Maryia Grudo, who studied at Belarusian State Academy of Music, has appeared countless times at European and Asian music festivals with many globally renowned orchestras.

In the class, the teachers watched the youngsters' performances and gave high comments on their talents and skills. Based on that, they are now partaking in making a training plan for them.
