2018 SZJLIHM kicks off in SIP
The 2018 (9th) Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon (SZJLIHM) kicked off at SIP's Moonlight Dock on Mar 11. Over 30,000 people from different countries and regions competed in the half (21.0975 km), short (about 14 km), mini (about 4.5 km) and parent-child (about 3 km) races, and two Chinese racers respectively garnered the gold medals in the men's and women's half marathon races.
2,098 volunteers help ensure the success of SZJLIHM
Volunteer services are an eye-catcher at the 2018 SZJLIHM. The volunteers did a good job to ensure that the event went on in an orderly and smooth manner.
Integrated medical services to guarantee all-around safety
The 2018 SZJLIHM boasted an integrated medical support system, which consisted of 80 on-track first aid personnel, 345 on-track volunteers, 344 standby medical staff, 12 medical service stations, 16 ambulances and an ICU green channel under the first aid command center. The system helped effectively safeguard all the people's safety during the event.
Considerate services to encourage and take care of racers
In addition to the regular volunteer services that are common at sports events, the 2018 SZJLIHM saw another two kinds of special services that won high praise from the racers.
Security officers on motorbikes lend charm to the half marathon
A security team consisting of SIP's urban management and police officers caught people's attention at the 2018 SZJLIHM. Riding motorcycles, they followed the runners throughout the competition to provide safety protection.
