SCA Packaging Builds the Largest Asian Base in SIP
SCA (SIP) Packaging Co., Ltd., invested by SCA Asian Company, announced official opening on April 18. The USD 20-million project is the presently the largest plant of SCA in Asia. Invited to the celebration activity were Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, Mr. Rijk Schipper, President of SCA Asian-Pacific Group, Mr. Shi Wanpeng, Vice-chairman of Economic Committee of National Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of China Packaging Federation, and Mr. Lars Andreasson, Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai, etc.
Being one of the Furtune-500 companies and headquartered in Stockholm and , SCA was founded in 1929 as a multinational Corporation that produces absorbent sanitary and packaging materials and printing paper. Since its entry into the Asian market, SCA has established 16 plants in China, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The SCA manufacturing base in SIP covers a land area of 70,000m2, and its main products are various corrugated paper boards, cartons, protective packaging materials, and printed packaging with related service.
The opening of SCA plant in SIP will further improve the quality of products and provide more convenient one-stop service to customers. The production capacity is estimated to be 50,000 tons annually.
