Wang Rong Meets Guests from Singapore
Wang Rong, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, met Mr. Chin Siat Yoon, Ambassador of Singapore to China and head of Singaporean Ambassadors Delegation, on Jan. 21. Yan Li, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, attended the meeting.
Wang Rong briefed Ambassador Chin Siat Yoon and members of the delegation on the economic and social development of Suzhou in recent years. The major economic targets completed in Suzhou last year, such as the attracted foreign investment and total industrial output value, are ranked among the most advanced large and medium-sized cities in China, while social progress is be steadily made in all fields along with economic leaps. Wang says that Suzhou Industrial Park has demonstrated eye-catching achievements over the past decade. Wang stresses that the assistance and support from Singapore has contributed significantly to the success of SIP. He hopes that the two sides will maintain such relations of cooperation to run SIP even better. Mr. Chin Siat Yoon expresses his elation over the excellent situation in SIP development and the fruitful results of China-Singapore cooperation. He agrees that the two sides should reinforce cooperation and exchanges in the future.
