Standard Chartered Bank Suzhou Branch Opens Business
The British Standard Chartered Bank announced yesterday the opening of business of its branch in Suzhou. The Suzhou branch will provide all-inclusive foreign exchange services to Chinese and foreign enterprises and individuals, which signifies a big step in expanding its business in the Yangtze Delta region.
Located in Suzhou Industrial Park, the newly established Suzhou branch is aimed to offer efficient, diversified, convenient, and flexible financial solutions for customers. Standard Chartered Bank submitted application for the branch in January 2005, and its establishment was advanced by 4 months.
Standard Chartered Bank has allocated an additional fund of 200 million yuan RMB to Suzhou Branch in foreign exchange services for overseas investment entities, including those of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, foreign-invested enterprises, local companies, and individuals.
