SIP Recruitment Delegation Arrives in Sydney
The SIP delegation to Australia and New Zealand on a recruitment trip proceeded to the second destination, Sydney, on July 30, 2006, and held an exchange meeting with the Chinese students there. About 80 Chinese from the student body, Chinese engineers association, and Jiaotong University alma mater attended the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Counselor Yu Yu from Chinese Consulate General in Sydney, and Gu Yukun, Member of SIP Party Working Committee and Director of SIP Organization and Personnel Bureau, gave a general briefing on the development and construction of SIP and the environment for careers and relevant policies concerning talent recruitment.
At the recruitment meeting, some 170 posts from 75 SIP enterprises and undertakings were offered to the candidates, covering the fields of software development, telecommunication engineering, pharmacology, finance, and business administration, etc. The students at the meeting showed keen interest in these posts and had an interactive exchange with the SIP delegates.
Those with the intention to start business careers were particularly keen on the venture carriers such as nanotech park, international technology town, China-Singapore Science Hub, and Dushu Lake Higher Education Town, etc., and made active inquiries on the related policies on technological setups.
The recruitment meeting had the full support of Chinese Consulate General in Sydney, and Counselor Bai Gang came specially to the meeting to deliver a warm welcome speech.
