Montaplast Lays Foundation for New Plant in SIP
German-invested Montaplast Automotive System (SIP) Co., Ltd. held a foundation laying ceremony on May 12 for its new plant in SIP. The 7,000-m2 new manufacturing facility will support the ever-growing demands of Montaplast's Asian customers. When the new plant is completed by the coming December, it will be used for slip casting of and assembling industrial plastic components, to be supplied to General Motors, Ford, the Japanese Denso, and other international customers.
Montaplast Corporation, founded in 1958 in Germany, has its current manufacturing base is located in Mosbach, Germany. It set up its branch plant, Frankfurt Factory, in Kentucky, USA, in 1992 to serve the needs of customers in North America, which operates as designing and sales center while engineering service is deployed in Detroit, Michigan.
