SIP Is Out to Recruit Chinese Students in Manchester
Following the successful recruitment meeting in Ireland, an SIP delegation proceeded to Manchester, UK, to hold meeting with Chinese students on May 14. Shen Mingde, Deputy Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, gave the students a general introduction on the development and construction in SIP with detailed explanations on the demands for talent and relevant policies.
At the recruitment meeting, the SIP delegation introduced some 130 posts from 51 SIP enterprises, covering the majors of software development, communication engineering, pharmaceutical, finance, and business administration. Over 60 Chinese scholars and experts working in Manchester and students on academic programs in UK showed keen interest in the offered posts and the business carriers such as bio-nanotech park, SIP Int’l Tech Park, China-Singapore Science Hub, and Dushu Lake Higher Education Town, etc. In the 3-hour-long meeting, both sides had a lively exchange of views and questions concerning technological development were answered.
The recruitment meeting was fully supported by Chinese Consulate in Manchester. Zhang Yihua from Education Dept of the consulate attended the meeting and gave a warm speech.
SIP delegation is planning to hold another recruitment meeting in Berlin, Germany, on May 15.
