N. Carolina and SIP Exchange Offices

China Center of North Carolina held a grand opening ceremony in Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina, attended by Qiu Xuejun, General Consul of Chinese Embassy in USA, ex-governor James Hunt of N.C. State, Congressman David Price, Bob Ethridge, Brad Miller, and other guests of honor from China and USA. Reportedly, N.C. China Center and SIP (Int'l Technology Park) have signed an initial agreement to establish offices in each other's locations to promote cooperation and exchanges and to create more job opportunities in the two places.
Speaking on behalf of Governor of North Carolina, Vice-minister Tony Copeland of Commerce of N.C. said at the opening ceremony, "China Center is established at the right time." The largest Chinese investment came to N.C. last year from Lenovo Group for the acquisition of P.C. business department of IBM. He also mentioned that the largest American investment also came from N.C. - 3 billion USD investment in China Construction Bank from Bank of America, located at Charlotte City of N.C. last year.
General Consul Qiu Xuejun expressed warm congratulation on the founding of N.C. China Center, and read the letter of congratulation from Zhou Wenzhong, Chinese Ambassador to USA.
