Swedish SCA Packing Co. Lays Foundation
SCA Packing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., invested by the Swedish giant in packing industry, SCA Asia Co., laid the foundation for its new plant in SIP on Feb. 25. As the biggest investment project of SCA in Asia, the first phase of the plant cost 20 million USD. Present at the foundation laying ceremony were Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, Shi Wanpeng, Member of Standing Committee of National People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of China Packing Federation, and Lars Andreasson, General Consul of Sweden in Shanghai.
SCA Corporation, founded in 1929, is a multinational corporation based in Stockholm, Sweden, which produces absorbent hygienic articles, packing and printing papers.
SCA Packing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in SIP cover an area of 70, 000 square meters. The new plant is expected to complete by the end of this year to produce diversified corrugated paper, cardboard boxes, and protective packing materials and provide related service.
