Air China Cargo Introduces Connected Land-and-air Transportation
Air China Cargo gave a presentation on the new mode of transportation, the connected land-and-air shipment, at International Conference Hall of Sipac on Dec. 18 under the coordination of Suzhou Logistics Center and SIP Economic and Trade Development Bureau. The meeting was attended by some 80 representatives from SIP Customs, logistics enterprises, and shipping agents.
The meeting was presided over by Zhang Rong, Deputy GM of Air China Cargo, and the speakers included Mr. Li Minwei, Executive Deputy Director of SIP Economic and Trade Development Bureau, and Zhang Zhiguo, Secretary of Party Committee of Air China Cargo.
The presentation gave detailed account of the new business mode and procedure of land-and-air connected transportation (trucks and scheduled flights) launched by Air China Cargo and its East China Operation Center and catering to the "virtual airport" platform under construction in SIP.
