The Largest Sino-Indian Cooperation Project
on Outsourced Software Service to Locate in Suzhou
During its investment promotion campaigns in the garden city of Bangalore, India, SIP delegation held gave a presentation on the thematic topic of "cooperation between China and India in technological innovation" on March 28, attended by over a hundred personages from industrial and technological circles of India, and on the same day, Suzsoft (China) Software and a well-known IT enterprise of India, signed an agreement on outsourced software service. Tthe two sides agreed to build an ITO/BPO base with a staff of 1,500 for the first phase in SIP, which is so far the largest project of this kind in China. Another agreement was signed between Sipac and Hutchinson Consultancy Company of India on joint technological investment.
In his speech at the presentation, Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, emphasized that SIP would focus efforts on promoting investment in technologies, based on the experience in attracting investment in manufacturing industries, and that SIP and software industry of India could supplement each other’s needs in outsourced software and services with wide prospect. He expressed warm welcome to the businessmen present to make surveys and invest in SIP. Sun Yanyan, Vice-director of Sipac, gave a detailed introduction on the environment of technological innovation and the superior advantages in hi-tech projects in SIP. Chinese Ambassador Sun Yuxi was invited to the meeting and gave a speech in high regard of the investment climate in SIP, and expressed his confidence in the mutual benefit of technological cooperation between the two countries.
The representatives from technological circles present expressed high interest in investing in SIP and intentions to visit SIP for on-spot surveys in the near future.
During its stay in India, SIP delegation visited the famous BPO city and the prestigious software enterprises like Infosys, and had exchanges with Bangalore Technology Park on issue of future cooperation. The delegation would start its visit to Bombay on March 27.
