With 60 old photos, a biographical film and other exhibits from the Musee de Montmartre (Museum of Montmartre) in Paris, the exhibition gives a holistic picture of the culture, art, landscape and folk customs of Montmartre.
The exhibition comprises different units that mark different landmarks of Montmartre, such as the Black Cat cabaret, Moulin Rouge and the Montmartre hill, and also the Paris Jet'aime (I Love You, Paris) exhibition which employs digital technology to give visitors an immersive experience.
In addition to the exhibitions, there were the China-France Symphony Night, French Literature Reading Week, an event themed on French art and films, etc., which allowed people in Suzhou to experience authentic French culture and lifestyle.
Moreover, an exhibition opened in Paris on Oct 28 to showcase culture and life along the Suzhou section of the Grand Canal of China. It will tour to Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Romania later.
