The 2022 Semaine Culturelle & Artistique Chine-France du Lac Jinji de Suzhou, or 2022 (First) Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week, kicked off concurrently in SIP, Suzhou, China, and Montmartre, Paris, France on Oct 28, with a series of exhibitions, performances and other components scheduled to last till Nov 7.

The replica of Le mur des je t'aime, also known as “Wall of Love”, a landmark in Montmartre with the phrase “I love you” written 311 times in different languages across a 40-square-meter wall of 612 embossed tiles, was inaugurated in SIP’s Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block, recognized as an artistic icon of China-France exchanges.

The “Wall of Love” at Ligongdi is the only one of its kind in Asia. It looks exactly like the original one when viewed from the front, while its back bears a painting of phoenixes and dragons by Qi Xinghua, a Chinese artist who has set multiple Guinness World Records for making the world’s largest 3D paintings.

In addition to the “Wall of Love”, the exhibitions, cultural fair, food week and concerts attracted many people.
