As the first flagship cooperative project between Chinese and Singaporean governments, SIP has been a frontrunner in opening-up. For nearly three decades, SIP has set a good example for international cooperation through its increasingly tightened ties with Singapore.

In February, the Suzhou Working Committees of Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Singapore International Mediation Centre were inaugurated in SIP to provide support for international commercial arbitration and mediation in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Statistics show that, by the end of June, SIP had gathered about 450 projects from Singapore, with an actual investment of US$ 3.5 billion, and SIP investors had invested more than US$ 1 billion in over 30 businesses in Singapore. The total volume of trade between SIP and Singapore exceeded US$ 1.6 billion last year.
