SIP Administrative Committee director Ding Lixin on Feb 3 visited the Working Group for Social Epidemic Control & Prevention at the 2019-nCoV Prevention & Control Headquarters recently established at Suzhou Public Security Bureau SIP Office. In the process, Ding gained a better understanding of the working group’s work in curbing the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) that has caused pneumonia in many people home and abroad, and discussed with the group members solutions for related problems and difficulties.
It is learnt that the 2019-nCoV Prevention & Control Headquarters consists of 10 working groups shouldering different tasks for the fight against the 2019-nCoV, and the Working Group for Social Epidemic Control & Prevention is mainly in charge of conducting inspections at communities, road entrances, office buildings and other places with large flow of people to deter human-to-human transmission of the virus.
Ding shared his opinions on the working group’s future work at the event, urging its members to enhance efforts in regular patrols and prevention of imported cases.
