SIP Communist Youth League Committee launched the SIP “5C” Youth Growth Program on May 7, teaming up with SIP-based higher-learning institutions and enterprises to discover and cultivate talents for local biomedicine, nanotech and AI industries.

Statistics show that only about 45% of graduates from SIP schools choose to land a job in Suzhou each year, while about 30% choose to work in SIP. This has caused labor shortage in local tech companies. Therefore, the program is expected to help retain more graduates in the area and better match them with local employers’ talent demands.

As the major abilities a talent should possess and the program endeavors to foster, “5C” refers to “confidence, coordination, cooperation, challenge and creation”.

It is disclosed that the first training session will last from May to July, consisting of lessons, field surveys, outward bound activities and job interviews tailored for 30 participants. Students reaching tentative agreements with local enterprises will have chances to attend training at the enterprises.
