SIP's "Spring Breeze" blew to Suzhou Yuanqu Railway Station on Jan 22, when a team of staff from SIP Public Culture Center (SIPPCC) gave passengers gift packages and recommended shared books to them.

The event is part of the "Spring Breeze Action" that the Publicity Department of CPC SIP Working Committee launched early this month to host nearly 70 cultural events, including lectures, exhibitions and so on, over a two-month period to help enrich local residents' life.

In the event, the SIPPCC staff presented 170 gift packages to passengers. Each of the packages included Spring Festival couplets, an e-book concessionary card, a leaflet about the Spring Breeze Action, and a wall calendar bearing calligraphy works by a number of local kids.

Apart from that, the SIPPCC staff showcased 30 books on site. Suzhou citizen card holders and people with certain Zhima Credit (a credit rating service provided by Chinese e-business conglomerate Alibaba) scores can borrow any of the books without cash pledge. The service was well received by the passengers who regarded it as a good way to kill?time when waiting for the trains.
