The award ceremony of the 3rd China (Suzhou) International Pastel Biennale, which is co-sponsored by the event's organizing committee, Suzhou Artists Association and SIP's Ming Gallery of Art, was held in SIP on Oct 20. The winners of 18 awards were unveiled.

Concurrently, the exhibition of excellent works kicked off at Ming Gallery of Art, and will last till Nov 5. On display are 100 pastels selected from nearly 400 works that poured in from more than 10 countries from Apr 16 to July 16. The exhibits, of different styles, demonstrated the artists' creative conceptions and extraordinary painting skills.

The biennale was initiated in 2014 for the purpose of enhancing international exchange on the art of pastel. It is learnt a series of painting and academic activities were held on Oct 18 and 19 to offer the participating artists more chances to enhance their interaction.
