Xietang Sub-district Family Planning Office has been endeavoring to help families who have lost their only child. It organized an event at two local health service centers on May 21 to provide free physical examination to residents from 43 families of the kind.

The physical examination covered a wide range of checks and tests for a comprehensive screening of disease signs, aimed at helping the residents know better about their physical conditions and prevent diseases.

As follow-ups, the examination results will be recorded into the medical files established by the two centers for the families last December and used as basis by experts to give the residents advice on health maintenance in a near-future event.
