Tinglan Community in Dongshahu sub-district recently hosted several events to mark Mother's Day that fell on May 13. In the events, the mothers received gifts of various forms.

One of the events took place on May 8. A local flower arrangement enthusiast expounded on the symbolic meanings of different kinds of flowers before teaching the children to make beautiful bouquets. The children presented their finished works to their mothers.

In another event on May 6, the mothers received "flowers" along with short thank-you letters drawn and written by their children following a volunteer teacher's instruction.

In addition, a free clinic event was held on May 10, when staff from a local health service center gave a lecture on health maintenance and provided free blood pressure and glucose testing to the aged females.
