Loufeng Sub-district saw two art shows before May Day, designed to offer the residents a chance to celebrate the festival together and enrich their cultural life.

In the show at Fengtang Community, a group of local opera enthusiasts performed a series of widely-known episodes of Shanghai Opera and Wuxi Opera. The performers' beautiful voices and excellent skills won intermittent applause from the audiences.

The show in Tuanjie Community included songs, dances, erhu (a bowed two-stringed traditional Chinese instrument) playing, traditional operas and magic performances, which made the residents excited and delighted.
