Sponsored by the Publicity Department of CPC SIP Working Committee and organized by SIP Volunteers Association, a series of events themed on "Show Our Love for SIP" took place at Suzhou Center (SC) and its surroundings on Mar 3, in an effort to raise public awareness of volunteerism and better the local volunteer services.

In the event at SC, volunteers specializing in helping financially challenged students continue their school education introduced their programs nationwide and answered the residents' inquiries.

Concurrently, two parallel events went on outside the Dongfangzhimen Subway Station near SC. In the charity bazaar, handiworks made by exceptional children and some citizens were sold to raise money for children with leukemia. In the other event, the volunteers offered tips on garbage classification and recycling to the citizens through a series of games and hands-on activities.

Other events on the same day included a children's painting activity, an art show staged by volunteers, the inauguration for two volunteer bases at SC and the release of an on-line volunteerism promotion program.

In addition, a live broadcast on FM91.1 is scheduled on Mar 5, with a number of local volunteers who received last year's excellence awards sharing their stories.
