On August 29, the final of Suzhou Industrial Park instrumental music & singing contest entitled "Rhythm of SIP", sponsored by the organizing committee of the 3rd SIP Culture and Sports Festival, was held in Dushu Lake Theater. 18 groups of singers and players elected from the semi-finals competed in the final for the first, second and third prizes.

The contestants were grouped for mixed performing style as an idea from the organizing committee. With the marvelous performance the competition is more like a concert of mixed styles, with combinations of erhu and R&B, traditional Chinese instruments with popular singers, as well as Rock'n Roll with opera singers.

As a cultural platform for the residents, the instrumental music & singing contest this year enriched their daily life, as well as demonstrated the spirit of a modern and civilized city. The contest was also the closing ceremony of the 3rd SIP Culture and Sports Festival.
