SIP Huxi Community Working Committee convened a meeting on Mar 7 with officials from different local authorities, making deployment for eight environmental improvement projects scheduled the first half of the year. The projects, including those aimed at bettering public sanitary conditions and curbing illegal parking, are expected to help enhance local urban management and increase the residents’ sense of happiness.

On the same day, Xu Yongchun, secretary of Huxi Sub-district Party Working Committee, visited Xinjia Garden Residential Quarter for a survey on a residential building façade renovation project underway there and three other residential quarters. In the process, Xu urged related administrative offices and property management companies to take effective publicity and supervision measures to ensure the safety and quality of the project.

Later in the day, Xu partook with a group of local law enforcement officers in a campaign to demolish illegal buildings at Ligongdi Business Street. He suggested related prevention and inspection mechanisms be reinforced to ensure early discovery and dismentlment of illegal buildings.

Following that, Xu and several officers from the local urban construction office patrolled Ligongdi Business Street and Jinji Lakeshore Footpath to check if there was any damage to the road pavement, street lamps and other facilities. Xu urged local officials to spare no efforts to participate in the sub-district’s regular inspection programs to discover and solve problems.

For the next step, the committee disclosed that more scientific, detail-oriented and high-tech approaches will be used to join the efforts of the entire local administration system to provide a better environment for the residents.
