As from June 10, the widened and renovated Zhongxin Avenue East is open to traffic after the project has been completed by Suzhou Industrial Park Urban Renovation & Development Co., Ltd.

Zhongxin Avenue East, formerly known as Susheng Road, is one of the east-west main roads in Suzhou Industrial Park. The widened and renovated section is 3.85 kilometers long from Weisheng Road to Jiepu Road, overpassing Weisheng Road and having level crossings with Xingpu Road, Shengpu Road, Jinjiang Road, Jianpu Road and Jiepu Road. This widened section is now paved with 6-lane 2-way driveways from the original 4 lanes. Hence, traffic capacity of the widened Zhongxin Avenue East is greatly improved, the bottleneck affecting the east-west traffic is broken and artery road traffic connection with Kunshan City is enhanced.
