Eddingpharm, a Hong Kong-headquartered medical product supplier which set up a facility in SIP BioBAY in 2016 to make drugs for treatment of respiratory diseases, inaugurated its second branch Suzhou Ceclor Co Ltd in SIP on Nov 25, in a move to expand its business chain in the area.

The new company manufactures Ceclor, a cephalosporin-type antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, and other anti-infectives. It was formed based on a Ceclor manufacturing facility that Eddingpharm acquired along with the antibiotics brands Ceclor® and Vancocin® from American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company in April.
With a land area of 30,000 square meters and over 200 employees, the company boasts internationally advanced production lines and business management systems to ensure high quality and output of anti-infective products.

“We plan to invest more in SIP and introduce new projects to the area in the future to bring more high-quality antibiotics into the local medicine market,” Eddingpharm CEO Xin Ni said.
