FriendTimes Inc, an SIP-based mobile games company, went public at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Market (HKEX) on Oct 8. The company has seized every opportunity since its founding in 2010 to build an “empire of games”.

“We started with web games which were emerging then and cost less in R&D compared with games that have to be downloaded on PC,” said Jiang Xiaohuang, founding CEO of the company.
“We soon turned to mobile games when smart phones began to grow popular,” Jiang added.
The company is now widely known as a supplier of mobile games for women. Statistics show that it ranks third among Chinese developers of games of the kind and first in terms of income from ancient-style games for women.
Following a fast growth at home, the company started to seek opportunities in other markets. It founded wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Republic of Korea and Hong Kong in 2015, and assigned a special team to promote its products and services in Southeast Asia, North America, Japan and other countries and regions.

“We are building a headquarters in SIP’s Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone. It is expected to come into use in 2020. And we are trying to enrich and upgrade our product designs to give gamers better experiences,” Jiang said.
