Suzhou People’s Government and SIP Administrative Committee on Aug 2 signed an agreement with Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei at the company’s headquarters in Shenzhen, a city in South China’s Guangdong province. Under the agreement, Huawei will set up its Huawei (Suzhou) AI Innovation Center in SIP.
Founded in 1987, Huawei is a globally leading supplier of network gear for phone and internet companies. It erected its enterprise service headquarters in SIP in 2012, and launched a project this year to establish a research arm at Sangtian Island in the area.
The AI innovation center is positioned as a service hub for AI innovation in the Yangtze River Delta region. It will bring Huawei’s superb R&D resources to SIP, including talents, technologies and advanced concepts.
