Three multinationals, GEA Group, Philips and Endress+Hauser, respectively launched new projects this month to expand their production in SIP, indicating their confidence in the local business environment.

GEA Group, a Germany-based global equipment and process technology provider for the food industry and a wide range of other industries, broke the ground on a new production line for fluid equipment and parts on Jan 18, a move to increase its valve and pump outputs.

Philips Healthcare (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a member of Philips, the globally renowned Dutch technology company headquartered in Amsterdam, inaugurated its HVPS (high voltage power supply) production line on Jan 19. The new facility will allow the company to provide better digital medical solutions for diagnostic imaging.

Endress+Hauser, a Swiss-based instrumentation and process automation company that has set up four instrument companies in SIP and expanded its investment twice over the past 15 years, opened a new factory on Jan 26. The company said its expansion in the area will not stop here.
