The completion ceremony for the new plant of TOWA (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was held on Feb 17. When the plant is put into use, TOWA (Suzhou) will greatly increase its production capability, and, in cooperation with TOWA (Shanghai), form a one-stop service system covering equipment production, sales and after-sale service in China.

TOWA (Suzhou), invested and managed by Kyoto-headquartered TOWA Corporation, designs, produces and sell semi-conductor manufacturing equipment, precision moulds and parts for semi-conductor production, and processed precision moulds, as well as provides relevant after-sale service and technical support. Since its opening over a decade ago, TOWA (Suzhou) has developed into the largest overseas production base of TOWA for production of several machines, no longer just moulding presses and mould bases in its initial stage.

With the increase of production area in the new plant, TOWA (Suzhou) is to manufacture some new products like PMC-D packaging equipment for Chinese market. According to H. Okada, president of TOWA, the company will establish lab and training center in Suzhou plant for increasing production efficiency and quickening the pace to put new products into production, and demonstrate different kinds of equipments in Suzhou plant for a long time.
