"Future Quality Life Center", a major functional facility of China Life Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Retirement and Life Care Community (CLYLPRLCC), had its roof successfully sealed on Dec 30.

CLYLPRLCC is China Life Insurance (Group) Company's first project of high-end community for senior citizens in China. With a total investment of 1.06 billion yuan ($153 million), the first phase of the project covers an area of 242 mu (16 hectares) and is made up of such four sections as vigorous retirement, leisure and health, continuing care and comprehensive supporting facilities. The project will have 640 apartments that can accommodate about 1,300 senior citizens.

The roof-sealing coincided with the successful bid for the land to be used for the second phase of CLYLPRLCC. According to Yang Hualiang, deputy president of China Life Investment Holding Co., Ltd., along with the successful bid, CLYLPRLCC's first and second phases will jointly become a pathfinder and practitioner in China Life's strategy of "big asset management, big health, big retirement life" and its nationwide retirement industry layout.
