Eight innovation incubators in Suzhou Industrial Park, namely, Innocafe, 36 Krypton, XLAB, ideask, Suda Tiangong, Dandelion Inno Club, GBOX and Elite Forum, were incorporated into the national sci-tech business incubator management system, according to the recent official announcement of Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of Ministry of Science & Technology. These eight incubators will play an important role in further promotion of mass entrepreneurship and innovation.

To respond to the country's call on "mass entrepreneurship and innovation", SIP took the lead in 2013 in setting forth a general roadmap entitled "construction of an integrated innovation & entrepreneurship ecological circle with government support" for the development of cloud computing industry. In June 2014, SIP released "Cloud Program" policy to encourage social forces to take part in the construction of incubators in cloud computing industry, and grant support from A to Z in the process of establishing incubators, selecting projects, fostering projects, service matching, and demonstrating projects.

So far, a total of 17 well-known academies, enterprises, institutional investors and media institutions at home and abroad have set up "cloud" innovation incubators in SIP with a total area of 15,000 square meters, offering over 1,400 free seats. And the eight above-mentioned incubators are the typical examples of them.

Over the past half year, SIP's incubators have attracted many entrepreneurs and college students in Chinese mainland, and even a few entrepreneurs from Taiwan and Malaysia, and the number of projects being incubated or to be incubated has reached over 200.

In SIP, the "cloud" incubators try their best to provide full incubation service chain to businesses at three different stages of start-up, growth and acceleration by taking advantage of social forces, and the government actively explores cooperation with enterprises, media, capital, colleges and universities, and civilian-run sci-tech carriers so as to build up a good platform and a sound environment for improvement of start-up service efficiency and incubation success rate, which are important reasons why SIP's incubators are so attractive.

With the ever-growing increase in the number of incubators, SIP is exploring a new approach for harmonious and healthy development, that is, to guide incubators to have division of labor as well as cooperation for the purpose of providing innovative projects with different services at different levels.

At present, SIP is setting out to promote the incubator mode in the whole park to guide and encourage social forces to set up new incubators in other fields such as bio-med and nano-technology, to further guide college students to start up businesses, and to create a "maker" cultural atmosphere with a view to promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovation.
