Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Local Tax Bureau announced that the collection of corporate income tax for the year 2013 ended at the end of May 2014 and that 6,515 companies paid 1094.6668 million yuan in total, increasing by 59.31% and 407.5306 million yuan over the previous year. Among these corporate taxpayers, 5,707 companies are in the category of audit collection, 32.99% and 1,883 run profitable businesses, realizing total profit of 5,890.4853 million yuan, increasing by 65.37% and 2328.5616 million over the previous year.

Taking into consideration the preferential taxation policies, the actual tax rate, 21.24%, is lower than statutory 25%. Among the profit-making companies, 58.52% and 1,102 are entitled to preferential policies.
