Instead of a conventional graduation ceremony that usually consists of speeches and awards, many primary and middle school students in SIP celebrated their graduation in late June in more interesting and unforgettable ways.

For example, the sixth graders in SIP Jingcheng School enjoyed a wonderful two-day learning tour on June 24 and 25 together with their teachers. They raced dragon boats, played games and visited exhibitions including a life-size mockup of aircraft carrier. The tour not only enriched their knowledge on natural science and military defense, but also increased their teamwork awareness and patriotism for the country.
Xinglan School, which requires its students to run 10 times each semester to finish a 42-kilometer marathon, hosted the last running race for the third-year junior middle school students on June 28, when the school’s principal and the students’ teachers and parents ran together with the teens.

The students in SIP Lianhua School celebrated their graduation on the same day with a campfire party, where they had heart-to-heart talks with their teachers and parents.
Other schools in the area also held unique celebrations for their graduates.
