Public lecture on youngsters’ safety given in SIP kindergarten

Jointly organized by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and SIP Education Bureau, a public lecture on youngsters’ safety took place at SIP Soong Ching Ling International Kindergarten on Apr 24, kicking off a nationwide campaign called “Life Education for Chinese Youngsters” which is designed to help better ensure youngsters’ safety.

It is reported that the “Life Education for Chinese Youngsters” Organizing Committee carries out the campaign on a yearly basis to call attention to youngsters’ safety and offer safety protection tips through a succession of training sessions, campus lectures and other activities.

In the event, Zheng Zengyi, an education inspector designated by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China, former deputy director of MOE’s Department of Basic Education and vice chairman of China Association for Non-government Education, gave over 200 principals and teachers from 100-plus SIP-based kindergartens a talk on safety measures that kindergartens should take based on real cases.

The event organizers disclosed that a series of events of the kind will go on at other local kindergartens and schools in the future.
