In the event at Soochow University High School on Dec 28, 2018, Tang Chongyan, founder of Mother Tang Charity Center, gave a talk on their charity programs to the teachers and students at the school's China-Canada International Education Department. The event motivated the students to devote themselves to good causes.

In the event, Tang gave the participants a detailed introduction to their programs, especially the one they launched in 2015 to donate high-tech water purification barrels to schools in poverty-stricken areas to ensure the students there have safe drinking water. So far the program has benefited over 20,000 students. Tang also demonstrated the use of the barrel on site and offered the purified water to some of the students for a try.

The students were so interested in the programs that they promised to join the center's later charity concert to do their bit in helping youngsters in less-developed areas.
