People who have chances to visit SIP Dushu Lake School will marvel at its AI laboratory, which, known as the country's first of its kind based in a compulsory education school, is expected to help the students enhance their creativity, science knowledge and practical ability.

A robot called "Dushu Yizhi" shows the visitors around the laboratory, which consists of three parts.

The first part is the exhibition zone which gives a holistic picture of AI development in a chronological order and an introduction to people with great contributions to that.

The second part is the experience zone, which is designed to give the students a helping hand in their study by virtue of advanced technologies. For example, there is a robot named "Egg" who can talk, tell stories, perform songs and answer students' questions about their homework.

In addition, there are many other smart devices, such as those for language translation, weather forecast and control of home appliances.

The third part is the practice zone, where elaborately designed courses are offered for the students to acquire in-depth knowledge on specific subjects and apply it in their own programming projects.

The whole laboratory looks like a space capsule, decorated with lamps shaped like the major planets and the moon. The design creates a mystic and futuristic atmosphere that helps pique the students' interest in exploring deeply into the world of science.
