The 2017 Annual Conference on Higher Education Innovation and the Fourth Wisdom Lake Internationalisation Summit of Higher Education was held at SIP's Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University from May 18 to 21. Leaders from prominent Chinese and foreign universities and middle schools, experts in education and professors gave excellent speeches at the conference.
During the conference, Zhu Hongwei and Wu Lanlan from Dushu Lake School were awarded the "STEM Outstanding Education Leadership" and "STEM Outstanding Educator" respectively.
Among key topics discussed was model of innovative talent cultivation, which was recognized as key to improve talent cultivation. Upholding the student-centered concept, Dushu Lake School is keen on science and technology education. It has established the Juvenile STEM Research Institute and begun to offer courses on nanotechnology, intelligent robots and mathematics laboratory. In addition, the school is planning to establish several science and technology education workshops to fully meet the students' demand for personalized development and optional learning, aimed at enhancing students' sense of social responsibility, innovation awareness and practical abilities.
